About the Event

Forum Topic: CO2 REDUCTION IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY

By now it is well known that CO2 is harmful to the global climate.

At the same time, CO2 can be a new raw material for new innovations.

This also implies several chances for the textile industry towards new ways to permanently bind CO2, either before CO2 enters the atmosphere or after it has been extracted from the atmosphere.

For experts from industry, science, media and politics, the BTF Forum offers a platform to share current findings on achieving a textile bioeconomy and converting textile value chains from petroleum-based to bio-based. In addition to BIOTEXFUTURE internal speakers presenting their project results, there is also an opportunity for external speakers to share their vision of the future textile industry by presenting concepts, approaches, and solutions.

On October 20, 2021, experts will talk about carbon capture as well as methods to use CO2 as a raw material for new innovative products and more. In addition to the presentations, there will of course also be space for discussion, where questions and answers can be exchanged between speakers and audience.
